Dave Benning

Dave Benning was born in the UK and moved to Vancouver, Canada at age 19. Throughout school and college, he studied graphic arts and went on to become Head Graphic Artist at a Tee Shirt Graphics and silk screening company.
Dave always has had a passion for Rock and Roll Music and a fascination and respect for the many great Artists and Musicians throughout the industry. Feeling restricted in the corporate graphics world, Dave chose to pursue
Fine Art and has melted his passion for Music and Art together in the form of Rock and Roll Portraits in Acrylic on canvas.
He has exhibited work in Canada and the US and has sold to clients as far as the UK, and is referred to now as Vancouver’s Rock and Roll Artist, whilst working with Classic Rock 101 FM.
Dave Studied with Artist Sebastian Krüger in Santa Barbara earlier in 2010 and gained a lot of inspiration and renewed energy. He has been a fan of Sebastian's work for many years.
My love of Music and my love of Art makes what I do the perfect marriage of creativity and I am very passionate about what I do. I like to create an energy and life in my work and try my best to capture a moment. I believe a great portrait should have a soul… I am forever in search of the soul. I hope you enjoy my work.
